I have been catching words to make incantations, prayers and poems since childhood. Half a century later, in 2026, I am delighted to have published my first collection of poetry, SeaSpells - Poems of the Ocean and Beyond.
When I began collating my poems I realised that many of them were connected to the sea. From the early days in Alaska when I worked on a salmon fishing boat, to later sailing on voyages around Southeast Asia, and the New Zealand coastline, and other salty moments...from these SeaSpells emerged.
